The February color theme is definitely pink. I stumbled over its first buds in the end of January and made a little collection in this post . Since then the pink has exploded. It was inspired by the St. Valentine’s day, but to be honest, I have never seen so much pink in Oslo stores. I guess, pink is also Pantone color of the season, so it is found everywhere, in clothes and interior alike. I am a lover of pink, so this season has given me a lot of fluffy emotions. That helps in the snowy season, while the spring seems so far away, and the winter doesn’t want to step back. While other places may soon boast of pink petals on the trees, we get our share while window-shopping. This is Scandinavian lifestyle. Now you know, why they invented hygge! 🙂
The window shopping was a joy this month. The Danish store for interior and more, Illums Bolighus, has made a great job, decorating its windows. It’s all about LOVE, of course.
The windows of another shop, Bakke i Grensen, was an eye candy, featuring minimalistic Scandinavian design and combo of sweet pink and tough black. Check out the name of that book! Scandinavia Dreaming. Yes, this is how we roll! 🙂
Inside of the same shop, Bakke i Grensen, I have found a lot of beautiful things. Those pastel colors are so typical for the spring season, but it’s been a while I have seen them in the interior fashion here in Scandinavia.
The department store Paleet went straight to business, hanging the pink banners with good questions and love slogans. “Say yes” is one of them. Does it make you wanna go shopping presents? (me not. That doesn’t work on me, but is a nice reminder). Then the architecture was chiming in to, the pink facades supporting the cause. I used the same VSCO filter on those images, and these last two got a lot of it, turning even the snow pinkish 🙂 Do you think, it was too much?
All the lovers of pink, high five! And all the lovers in generally – hello 🙂
What color did your February have?
